The Windmill Restaurant is a family run restaurant.
Scottish born Karen has worked in The Windmill Restaurant since 1996 (under previous owners), buying the business in 2008.
Karen arrived on Skiathos on a family holiday in 1986, met islander husband Makis. Karen and Makis welcomed son Yiannis into the family in 1991.
Yiannis, now a qualified chef, has played an important role within the Windmill’s chef brigade since 2011.
Skiathos Town has two ports; the Old Port and the Paraliakos. Nestled between them is the Bourtzi which hosts music events during the summer. The Old Port is very picturesque and is where daily boat trips depart to nearby beaches, islands and tourist hotspots.
Visit Lalaria beach with its rock formations (only accessible by boat) or neighbouring Skopelos (Mamma Mia film location) for mouth-watering Greek style cheese pie!
